The Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Deogratius Ndejembi, is expected to be the Guest of Honour at the 46th Annual Conference of the Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA), to be held in Arusha, bringing together tax administration leaders and experts from 48 countries.

According to the Deputy Commissioner General of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), Mr. Mcha Hassan Mcha, the conference will take place from 5th to 9th October 2026.

Speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam, the Deputy Commissioner General said the conference will be held under the theme, “Leveraging Technology to Enhance Revenue Collection Efficiency,” which seeks to promote the use of technology in improving taxpayer services, tax administration and revenue collection efficiency.

Mr. Mcha said the conference will provide significant benefits to TRA, including opportunities to exchange experiences and share best practices with other tax administrations on effective revenue collection and tax administration.

He added that the conference will also provide TRA experts with opportunities to enhance their capacity and gain new knowledge, particularly in technology, data analytics and innovation in tax administration.
