The Ubungo District Commissioner, Albert Msando, has called upon traders to continue fulfilling their tax obligations voluntarily in order to contribute to the country’s development by enabling the implementation of various development projects.

Speaking during an Iftar event organized by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) on March 13, 2026, in Dar es Salaam, on behalf of the Regional Commissioner Albert Chalamila, DC Msando emphasized that it is the responsibility of every citizen to participate in paying taxes. He also urged citizens to demand receipts when making purchases and encouraged traders to issue receipts for every sale.

He further noted that TRA has been doing commendable work in providing tax education that has reached people at various levels. He congratulated the Authority for its good work in tax collection and in improving services for taxpayers, efforts which have contributed to a reduction in complaints from the public.
