The Commissioner General of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), Yusuph Juma Mwenda, has commended the significant contribution made by women employees to the performance and overall success of the Authority.

Speaking during the commemoration of International Women’s Day held on 08 March 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Mwenda noted that TRA currently has 3,126 female employees, representing more than 35 percent of the institution’s workforce. Among them, 72 women hold senior leadership positions within the Authority.

He further emphasized that women leaders at TRA have continued to demonstrate commitment, integrity and professionalism in the discharge of their duties, playing a vital role in enabling the Authority to meet and surpass its revenue collection targets.
