MUFTI ZUBERI COMMENDS TRA FOR COLLECTING TAXES WITH INTEGRITY

The Mufti and Chief Sheikh of Tanzania, Abubakar Zuberi bin Ally, has commended staff of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) for continuing to collect taxes successfully and with integrity, while also advising them to maintain high ethical standards in the execution of their duties in order to ensure fairness to taxpayers.
Speaking during an Iftar event organized by TRA on March 13, 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Mufti Zuberi said that ethical conduct is a fundamental pillar in tax collection.
He also called upon Tanzanians to continue praying for the nation so that it may remain peaceful and stable. He emphasized the importance of praying for the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, asking that Almighty God grant her wisdom and strength in leading the nation.
Sheikh Zuberi further noted that the remaining days of the Holy Month of Ramadan present an important opportunity for believers to offer prayers and humble themselves before God, seeking a good life and abundant sustenance obtained and used without hardship.
He encouraged citizens to continue being honest and to perform their duties with integrity, stressing that increasing efforts in honesty and ethical conduct is among the great acts of worship that earn a person the pleasure of Almighty God.
